This is a talk that I gave to the St Andrews University Law Society on 15 Feb 2023. The University lost its law school in 1967 when Queen's College became the University of Dundee, but it has never ceased to send talented graduates to the Bar of England and Wales and the other legal professions of this and many other countries. I wrote about my forthcoming visit to my alma mater in Returning to St Andrews on 4 Feb 2023 in NIPC News. Since then, I have returned to judge moots and support Andrew Clay and David Flint when they addressed the Law Society.
St Andrews has a thriving innovation campus on the site of the former paper mill at Guardbridge. On my last visit to the University, I attended a seminar on Engaging and Supporting Female Founders at Water Bower House and was shown the impressive additive manufacturing facilities of the campus. I wrote about my visit in St Andrews Innovation on 16 April 2025 in NIPC News.
